Charis Barbosa — Personal Brand Identity
A personal branding assignment exploring the full logo design process — from concept sketches and mark explorations through to a finalised combination mark. The brief challenged me to distill my own identity as a designer into a visual system, resulting in a playful yet distinctive brand built around hand-drawn characters, custom typography, and a teal and yellow colour palette.
The design aims to bring a sense of fun and love, creating a warm and caring vibe that feels positive. It's meant to make people feel joyful, safe, and connected — a brand that reflects personality and heart rather than convention.
Bright colours and shapes create a joyful and energetic vibe throughout the mark.
The tone is positive and encouraging, promoting happiness and a sense of connection.
Clean and simple design with few elements to achieve a sleek, modern look.
The exploration process moved through four distinct mark types — from initial brandmark sketches and containment shape studies through to the final combination mark. Each stage helped refine the visual language before arriving at the final system: a teal combination mark pairing the illustrated creature with custom bubbly lettering in teal and yellow.
